Software support

Installation of estimating software is performed by UAB Astera specialists. Installation process comprises the recording of computer files into the Receiver’s computer, work place adjustment (i.e. input of Receiver’s company parameters and adjustment of printing forms to the existing printer), and operation test.

Work place service includes:

  • updating normative base with new rates;
  • updating normative base with new price levels;
  • restoration of software files, document templates, and normative base in the case of crash (e.g. blackout or similar cases).

Work place service contracts are concluded for one year (first year the service is free of charge). Contracts are concluded each year.

There are three kinds of work places:

  • main work place - software files, normative data base, data (estimates, summaries, etc.) catalogue with files necessary for data creation. The main work place usually is installed in the main headquarters of the Receiver’s company.
  • additional work place - software files only. Since the normative base and data (estimates) catalogue is installed in another network computer (main work place), it cannot operate as a stand-alone – main place computer has to be turned on, and both computers shall be connected in the network (i.e. "see" each other);
  • stand-alone work place - similar to the main work place, installed in another computer not connected to the computer in the main work place. Such computer may be moved to a separate building or town, i.e. Receiver’s company branch. Stand-alone work place requires the Receiver to already have the main work place.

The software service includes training of one Receiver’s employee for a specific work place. For additional charge more employees may be trained.
